Nigeria’s Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development says it is ready to partner with the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC).

Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, made this known on Monday at the Ministry’s headquarters in Abuja while receiving the management of ICRC.

According to the Minister, the Public Private Partnership (PPP) is the best way to go if Nigeria’s infrastructure must develop, while promising to set up a task force to drive the collaboration with a fixed time-line to ensure quick delivery.

He explained that upon assumption of office as Minister, he met lots of litigations, which he has reduced and urged ICRC to follow all legal processes in their quest for Public Private Partnership (PPA).

The Minister thanked ICRC for the initiative and reiterated Aviation Ministry’s commitment to deliver President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Director General, Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC), Dr. Jobson Oseodion Ewalefoh, also thanked the Minister for his achievement in Aviation space within the short time.

Dr Jobson said the essence of the meeting was to solicit the Ministry’s collaboration with ICRC in terms of infrastructure development.

“We considered the Aviation Ministry as pivotal Ministry for driving the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr President, your ministry is key in driving the economy of the country, and we have decided to come to you because of your achievements”

The ICRC helmsman emphasized that the Commission has removed all administrative bottlenecks and promised to get it right going forward.

He said that there was every need to embrace PPP since the country is faced with infrastructure decay.

“With right Infrastructure in place, we will attract much investors into Nigeria, this is the time to improve the infrastructure in the aviation sector and we commend Mr President for his commitment so far” He added.
