The Honourable Minister of Steel Development, Shuaibu Abubakar Audu and the State Minister of Steel Development, Maigari Ahmadu, have met with chief executives of agencies under their supervision to ascertain the true state of facilities and challenges.

The Chief Executives tabled issues clogging the smooth operations of their respective agencies while they made recommendations and suggestions towards the rejuvenation of the steel sector in the country.

The Ministers in their respective responses assured the Chief Executives that as part of the President’s 8 point agenda, the administration is dedicated to the rebirth and advancement of the steel industry.

Our Correspondent reports that they reinstated their commitments to the steel sector development, generation of employment opportunities, enhancement of security, creation of enabling environment for investors, refurbishment of obsolete equipment and facilities, training and retraining of staff and healthy competitiveness within the sector.
