MSME Forum of Nigeria: BOT Approves New Governing Structure At First Quarter 2024 Stakeholders Meeting

The Board of Trustees of Forum of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Business Membership Organization’s (BMOs) of Nigeria, has officially approved the new Governing Structure to run the affairs of the organisation.

Making the declaration on behalf of the founding members and Incorporated Trustees of the Forum at the first quarter 2024 stakeholders meeting in Abuja, Alhaji Ibrahim Garba Gusau, the President of Forum, said it was for efficiency and effective delivery of services to members.

“There is a need to inject new blood in the running of the organisation”, Garba noted.

The event, which was streamed online from the main Auditorium, Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC), Maitama Abuja, has as its theme:
Strengthening The Relationship Between The Forum of MSME’s, BMO’s for optimal performance”.

Presentations were made by Mrs Rose D.S Gyar, Chairman, Governing Council on “The structure of the Forum of MSMEs, BMOs of Nigeria and their key activities. Representatives from World Bank, FCMB and Fidelity Bank were also on ground to discuss and assured members of funding support through loans and grants as well as other empowerments, job opportunities and scholarships to registered members across the 36 states in Nigeria and FCT.

Dr Francis Alaneme, the Director General of Governing  council, told participants that the facilities can only be accessed by registered members of the MSME Forum.

According to him, “There is a need therefore to bring more business owners into the fold.

He also spoke on the data base being developed by the Space Research Centre, adding that when completed, it will be of immense benefit to members.
Mr Olusegun Adeleke, who was recently elevated as a member of the Board represented the Chairman, BOT, Dr Albert Olajide Akinyemi on the occasion.

Dignitaries that graced the event include the acting Director General, RMRDC “Engr. Kwaya;
Amb. Opeyemi Ayanrinde, the Oyo State Forum Coordinator; FCT Science & Tech Director, represented by Mrs. Emayomi, Dr. Paschal O. Harry of the “Institute of Professional Industrialists “Amb. Ozigis Yakubu, Mrs. Udoimeh Mfon, the National Vice-President, North Central, Nigerian Association of Women Entrepreneurs; Mr Rex Emmanuel of FCMB ; Mr Gregory Aondoakaa, representing the World Bank Group and Mr Godwin Etsano, the President, Pineapple Growers and Processors Marketing Association.
