Bayelsa United head coach, Diepreye Teibowei, has said said their matchday one victory against Akwa United will send warning signals to other teams.

The Prosperity Boys defeated Akwa United 5-3 at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa.

The experienced tactician declared that Bayelsa United are out to better their performance from last season.

“The win over Akwa United has sent a clear signal that we mean business this season,” he said.

“We want to better our performance from last season.

“Our fans should expect an improved performance in the next game against Doma United.”

The game against Doma United will be held at the Pantami Stadium.
