A Governorship Aspirant under the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, Dr Azemhe Azena, has promised inclusive Governance if elected Governor in Edo State.

The NNPP Guber hopeful gave this indication in Benin when he declared his intention to members of the party to contest the Edo State Guber Poll.

“It is my singular honor and privilege, and with a great sense of humility, that I stand before you this day to say a few words in this historic moment of my life and the life of our beloved Edo State.

My Fellow Edo People, to quote the immortal words of former American President J. F. Kenedy, “Politics is too important to be left in the hands of politicians”, Azena noted.

According to him, “This is the time to ask the government questions about the many promises they made about our security, Healthcare, Women and Youth Empowerment, Education, Infrastructural development and Poverty”.

Dr Azena, who is a regional Pastor with Omega Fire Ministry, explained that, It is in the process of asking and the pursuit of answers to these promises that he offered himself to serve Edo State as a radical shift from the normal and an answer to these many questions.

It is time for a visionary, competent, accessible, and inclusive leader in our dear State, who truly cares about her people.

It is time for an Edo State, where our youth can fulfill their full potential and be known for positive feats far removed from the present pitiable conditions.

Dr Azemhe Azena, who is from Okpekpe, Etsako East LG, stated, “We will take the guns from their hands, redirect their energy, and drive toward a positive ICT revolution like their counterparts in the developed nations of the world”.

It is time to empower the women folk, including the rural women, and make them relevant in the shared vision of a better Edo State.

“We will bring in infrastructure with workable and genuine partnerships with competent hands that will translate to what we can see, feel, and enjoy and not on paper alone”, he added .

“It is time for a leadership that is equipped with skill, competence, and truthfulness to wage war against poverty and deprivation so that our girl child can aspire to her desire.
A Better Edo State is possible when people’s lives are secured and our Forests and farmlands are safe for agricultural purposes as before”.

“I offer myself as a catalyst, to revamp our education sector especially our state-owned tertiary institutions that are yawning for funding for research and salaries for the many tired staff, whose salaries are being owed endlessly by the government”.

In his words, “Our great Party, the NNPP, has a good template for responsive and effective governance, the very reason it became an attractive nest to stay and drive governance of our dear state, to a new and higher height”.

Dr Azena called on all indigenes, residents, and friends of Edo State to join in this rebirth and repositioning of the state by a trusted, tested, and competent hand for the first time in a long while, to move the State forward, adding that
a Better Edo State is Possible!.

Our Correspondent reports that Dr Azena was a former leading Aspirant under the Labour Party before decamping to the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, in Edo State.
